ABOUT DR GAN
Dr Sapphire Gan completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2005, where she was awarded a place on the Dean’s List in her final year of study.
For three years thereafter, Dr Gan practised general dentistry at School Dental Services, Singhealth Polyclinics and the National Dental Centre of Singapore. There she had the opportunity to provide dental care for the entire community, from children up to senior citizens. Dr Gan then went on to pursue her interest in the specialisation of prosthodontics at the National University of Singapore. During her residency, Dr Gan had the rare chance to participate in an exchange program at some of the leading dental institutions in this field – New York University College of Dentistry, the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Center in New York, and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. In 2012, Dr Gan graduated with a Master in Dental Surgery in Prosthodontics and Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr Gan has vast experience in all aspects of prosthodontic restorative care, including aesthetic dentistry, crowns, fixed and removable dentures, geriatric dentistry, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) rehabilitation, complex dental rehabilitation and implant dentistry. Over the course of the past fifteen years, Dr Gan has also led over a dozen volunteer missions to various Asian countries to help provide dental and medical services where they are most greatly needed. She is also well known amongst friends and colleagues for her baked goods and pastries.
